By default, a case is assigned to the user who created the case.

It is possible to assign the case to someone else:

At any time after the case was created:

Click on the ‘More info‘ button on the top left of the case screen

You will go to the more information page; scroll down to the ‘People’ section and click on the ‘edit’ icon beside the assignee

Option 1: You want to assign the case to an existing user:

From the dialogue box that appears, choose an existing user associated with the unit from the drop-down list


You will see that the selected user is now the assignee

Option 2: You want to assign the case to someone who is not a user of Unee-T:

If the user whom you want to invite is not in the list, click on the ‘Invite new assignee

Enter the email address and relationship of the user to this unit

Once you click ‘Send invitation’, a confirmation message will appear

The person invited to the case will receive an email with information about the case and a ‘magic link’ that will take them directly to the details of the case, so that they can reply to you directly in Unee-T.

The best part is that there is no need for the invited person to download or install anything on their mobile!

The invitation will be marked as ‘Pending’ until the invited person accepts it

You can change the assignee even when an invitation is pending acceptance:

Simply click on the ‘edit’ icon as before to bring up the dialogue box

Choose another user as the assignee

The newly assigned user will take the place of the invited user
